The heart and soul of Rasta Blanca is Mitch Van Doff on vocals and guitar.Mitch has been playing solo acoustic music and band gigs with Rasta Blanca all over the New York/ New Jersey area. Playing at countless bars, restaurants,weddings and parties they built a loyal following among fans of ages from 1-99. Rasta Blanca is especially popular among waterfront venues all over Long Island and they were voted most popular band in the Hamptons for 2003 and 2005 by the readers of Dan's Paper which is the largest weekly newspaper on Eastern Long Island.
Rasta Blanca play mainly as a four piece group with Mitch on guitar and vocals, Dave Segal on bass guitar, Evan Parness on drums and Joe DeMaio or Peter "Bosco" Michne on lead guitar. These are all the same musicians that played on Mitch's solo CD "On The Beach" ( Http://www.mitchvandoff.com) Steel drums,keyboards,saxaphone and female vocals can be added to the group as situations demand.
